This was our last ski day in late March. We had thought we were done for the year. But we kept having snow storms and the sun kept shining so one last day. I was so glad we went because this was the day that Libby finally stopped using her tip toys. "We love skiing"

Dead Mans Powder

Mason quickly named this trail (not really a trail, more of a path) "Dead Mans Powder" . Obviously there is a lot of powder to get through and get stuck in. Mason loves it. He will pretty much follow his dad anywhere, good thing they are both crazy skiers!

What a fun day at DVR. The whole crew got to ski together. By the end of the day everyone had improved, some kids had moved to the big hill, no one got hurt and there were lots of smiles.

Derby Time

Mason was sooooooo excited for his first Pinewood Derby. Mason and dad put a lot of research and time into the car. They started at Grandpa Scotts house to cut out the car. Then there was a lot of sanding by Mason and finally the super slick paint job.

Masons car was #27 and he ended up taking second place in the races. It was a fun night. Our cub masters made fun drivers licenses for each of the boys and the cultural was decorated with lots of flags and cars.

The best part of the night is when we came home and the first thing Mason did was put together his plan for the 2009 derby. Maybe someday I can scan his plans. but they included a detailed drawing, title of car, colors for car, what to do and what not to do (with drawings for explanation)
